My Halos (w/ Pics)

Nice man, looks very sexy. I want to get some of these now. How did you wire the halos up? I'm assuming you ran them to the blinker bulb. How do the work in the daytime? Do DRL still function? And do the halos only come on when the parking lights are on? Haha I just have alot of questions.
 


let me say that u suk! those are bad a$$. I have been looking for halo's for my '06 but no luck unless custom made. sweet!

The reason shipping is so high is because they come with hids. You can get the ones with out and the shipping is less. The higher shipping is what pays for the hids.

One thing I noticed, your sidemarker light is out or not plugged in.

I wired my halos up to the parking light bulb. The headlights will still come on during the day and not the parking lights, as the DRL's will still function the same. To make just the halos and parking lights come on whenever you would like, you would have to pull the DRL fuse or disconnect the plug from the DRL diode in the drivers side access panel (this will obviously disable the headlights from coming on during the day). This way from the headlight switch you would be able to turn just the parking lights on.

i wired them into my side markers... and i dont believe my car is running drls because i gotta manually turn them on... and off... i still got some rewireing to do once i get a new alarm put in cuz i want them to flash instead of my projectors when i arm the alarm on my car.

and yes i took the side markers out cuz i only had one in and have to go get another one...
 
I want to do this so bad but seriously collage is too damn expensive and be able to swing these. I am going to save up and get a pair though. when i do it i am going to wire it so when i lock my car the halos flash the drls would be the halos and they would also stay on at night along with my regular lights. Idk if i would put in HIDs or not but i would defiantly set it up so my lows would stay on with my highs. also i would make my own halos for my fog lights. I love these lights i think they are absolutely bad @$$.

lol... its funny because im in college too... and im FLAT BROKE.. need tires too.... but im getting paid this week... lol... got 2 jobs aswell so... mods to come soon... i already paid my friend to paint the car.. gotta buy the paint tho
 
ya im good with tires i got new ones of thoughs when i bought the car since im in snow country and that was really the reason for buying a new car. but ya i hear ya if i had time to get a job i would but my secheduel is crazy. I also need to get some paint work done but i think that will be a summer chore since thats when the cash flow is. Im in need of a repaint of my frount and rear bumpers it looks like they hit a curb b4 i bought it and it also looks like it got pushed or bumped so that will be next on the list after the lights.

So basically if you wire them to the parking light bulb the DRL's will still work like normal? Will the halos come on with the DRL's? And when would the halos be on just by themselves, without the actual headlights? Basically what I would like to know is when do your halos come on if you have them wired to the parking light bulb?

Sorry I'm so confused by this haha. I just want to know how everything will work once it's hooked up.
 


ok nevermind, I understand now. If I'm right the halo's would only come on by themselves if your car isn't completely started, if you have the parking brake on, or if you deactivate the DRL's. Or basically whenever your side markers are on the halo's will be also. I was overthinking it haha. Sorry.

That's right, the halo's will be on whenever your parking lights are on. It's all good, don't worry lol
