My GTP vs GTP

So this kid around town has a Red GTP coupe. He says he would kill my car cause its a 4 door and his is a 2 door. He said its a $50,000 car and runs 9's. Funny thing is, he said its stock... except he said he took the baffles out of the supercharger and is pushing 14 Ibs of boost (he really said this too, no joke) He knows nothing about GP's obviously from what he told me. Anyway one night me and 3 other buddies were getting something to eat and on the way we saw him driving. so i pulled up next to him and gassed it a bit so he could here the whine. he was in the left lane and i was in the right. he wanted to get in the right lane to turn right at the stop light.. but i wouldnt let him. so finally realizing i wasnt gonna let him get over he said lets run em. my buddy yelled okay on 3 honks from a 30 roll. so we got to 30 and i started the honks. he jumped on the second honk and on the 3 i gassed it and chirpped the tires and flew passed him till i hit a 100 and let off. my buddy texted him and said. thats with 4 people in the car. he replied with.. not bad. needless to say he hasnt said anything else about his car being a 9 second car lol.
 


A baffle is like a plate that slows down movement. Such as in fuel tanks to keep fuel from sloshing. Not sure why something like this would be in a supercharger though.

Thanks...too bad there is nothing from the factory that "baffles" the supercharger. Only thing there that'll make it louder is porting it or filling the silencer ports in the bottom "V"...which isn't recommended because the aluminum welds take a sh!t.

Possibly meant gutted the Air Box??? theres a baffle in the box :th_laugh-lol2: and since its a 9sec car, the supercharger boosts from the black thing by the headlight and forces air into the aluminum intake... thank god it doesnt suck alot of air tho, or it would break off the tabs on the headlight and suck it into the motor :th_laugh-lol3:

Oh **** i never thought of that! That would be horrible if he sucked the headlight into the engine, then it may only be a 10 second car and thats just not exceptable. Gtp02 you might want to warm him of this next time you see him, tell him all of us here on the forum are looking out for his 9 second gtp hahahaha i heart sarcasm:th_laugh-lol3:
 


Thats funny, I know a A-hole that keeps telling me his Grandmas Buick has the same motor (which it does), and "when" she lets him drive it, he will race me, and it will kill my GTP...ROFLMAO. Because it is appatently a 10 second car.:th_winking: riiiiiight!

:th_laugh-pointup: ya you coulda sandbagged the race and let him think it was awesome and then got a couple mustangs in the area to race him and do the same thing... then wait til this summer and "tune" your car... not other mods... just a "tune" and wax his a$$... funny chit right thurr... shoulda thought of that sooner... maybe im just a demented person like that tho :th_laugh-lol2:
