• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

so yeah this kid gets in the car and they have a bump to stop the car from rolling off the belt and i watched him get in the car and i hear the exhuast roaring as he goes over bump and i watch the exhuast drop to the ground and this Pennzoil guy comes over and is like there is a pipe missing and i told him i was like are you stupid i am not even mechanic but i can see the pipe right there bent in half the manager is like the company wont pay for it because its not a factory exhuast the only thing that isn't factory of what broke is the resonators were bypassed and the Y pipe were slip joint. and the mechanic i take it too who is certified for everything said the only way to cause this kind of damage is too gun the engine over the bump which is what i saw him do. needless to say i am pissed about this because i got to take him to small claims if they wont pay for it

They say they are not responsible for non factory damage they say there is a sign one that i have not seen and every mechanic i have talked to and seen the car has said that's not possible without gunning over it factory or not

I went through a car wash and the stop thing you park on ripped one of my mufflers off. So it gave me an excuse to put new bigger pipe, resonator and turbo mufflers on. Hope you get hooked up with new exhaust.

I used to work on a really big car wash down here on Texas and anything we would brake or damage they would replaced it and if it was aftermarket as longest you had proof of the cost they will try to fix it if not they would buy you all new stuff

The signage doesn't give them a get out of court free card... Bottom line is prior to driving it off the line, they should be checking to see if anything is stuck, caught, broke, etc. Failing to do so makes them negligent in their diligence not to damage or cause further damage to customers property. The car was fine prior to entering the washer or they definitely wouldn't have let it go in at all. Bottom line is I would go there, complain once more, offer resolution and if rejected let them know of your intent to sue and also have them pay for your legal costs as well. It would be cheaper for them to just fix the thing. But be prepared to follow through, no idle threats and you'll get what you want. Save all receipts, write notes who spoken to, the position, etc.

Anyways... That sux and good luck!
