My friends Prix...28

Yep, it came about around here (North Central FL) when a Donked (26s?? maybe 28s) 80s Caprice hit a mustang, and killed both passengers, because cars arent meant to be hit that high up in a colision. Caprice went up over the hood and straight into the cabin...

Doesn't the bumper have to at least a certain distance from the ground up? I know in MN with all the jacked up cars that they just weld a second bumper in lower to make them legal.

That is just reDONKulous :th_laugh-lol2:

I AM curious tho how rough the ride is. Think about the price of those 28" rubber-bands wrapped around the wheels. Not cheap by any means, some even cost more than the wheels they're mounted on. Judging by how it is sitting, there cannot be much suspension travel or it would bounce into the wheels while driving and with the modifications to the fenders, bumpers and doors lol they wouldn't last long at all.

Ewl. I havent seen that style in a couple years, they are hideous

My bad didn't mean to say cars, somehow meant to type trucks and not cars. Damn but I have seen a jacked up corvette here so he can drive it in the spring. Trucks here are just way too tall.

the car crash thing when one car is too high makes no sense...

that car is what...maybe 2-3 feet off the ground, tops...if it is illegal to have such a high car, what happens with trucks? my brothers 1978 jeep j20 is almost stock ride height...yet, it is 2-3 feet off the ground on the front bumper...so, yeah he destroyed a focus with it...and it didnt leave a scratch lol.

but how can they issue a ticket to someone with a lifted car when lifted trucks are so much more dangerous? i havnt heard of any law that prohibits lifted trucks...just sayin makes no sense

^ the laws are in place for bumper height. People get pulled over here all the time for their trucks and the police measure the bumper height. The laws are just guided in bumper height.

^ what he said. My friends DD is a lifted Cherokee on 33's, built to be a rock crawler, and he knows his bumper is illegally high.

Trucks, jeeps and most SUV type vehicles are meant to be lifted.... NOT CARS...... Now I do give the guy props for color and what it took to get the wheels to fit...... and maybe if the car was trailer-ed every place it wouldn't be so bad.... I do have a question though...... I thought the donk was soo three years ago.....
