this was this past december before cecil county closed for the season. camera is in my 98 fireturd vs my 98 gtp with mild mods that my buddy was driving in.
first race i accidentally left the shifter in gear 1 for the burnout. hit the rev limiter(not fuel cut) and let off and shifted back into gear 3:th_thumb-down:
. that run the fireturd ran a 15.7@106mph:th_jester:. gtp ran something like a 15.8@98mph with a 2.7 sixty footer:th_angry2:.
2nd race i remembered and shifted the gear selector to 3 after the burnout. think my buddy still mustered a 15.x@99mph to my [email protected] w/2.23 sixty footer:th_thumb-down:. only ran the fireturd twice on the tune it had at the time since the track was getting packed. only wanted a baseline run. i hopped into my gtp to see what i can do and mustered a 13.8@99mph with a 2.0 sixty foot

mods to the GTP: 3.5" pulley, P-Log, 2.5" DP u-bend delete, VS cam, meth injection, ported TB, tune on 19* of timing(currently running 23-24*), 2.93 gears, weight is ~3680lb with me in it
mods to the fireturd: cammed LQ4 with stock 9.4:1CR, headers, tune, ported tb shifting at 5900RPMs(now shifting at 6200), 3.73 gears w/3200 stall on 16" tires:th_laugh-lol3:
