Ditch the topper.

Check the pickup coil. If it idles fine, but wont fire correctly once your are speeding up betting its there.

the topper saves me like 200 on registration
It has 2 dead cylinders 0 compression Im pulling the engine and getting a 70k engine out of a 98 cherokee for 650 swap over a couple things and ill be in biz

It had 220000 the engine was coming out any way
and the tpper on it makes it a normal truck instead of a comercial truck i guess
lowers registration costs in half

I had one with a 5.2 when i was 19 it was a 96 it died around 100k thats about when i swore off dodges this one has a 5.9 even with all the problems it has It still moves along the freeway at 75-80 with ease

Got a 360 in the back of my other truck as i speak hopefully get them swapped this weekend

I live about 35 miles away from specailized yards and theres 5 pick n pulls with in 50 miles not to mention all the other yards parts are never a problem

yea its just the damn fan bolts that suck I havent picked up a set of ratcheting wrenches yet and the trucks pretty high so its akward

But its coming along working on tb and wiring now And debating on swapping the water pump over or just putting in elect fans
the new engine has a pump but fan isnt on it

Some of the Dodges require a dealer tool to get the fan off. You can unbolt it, but it will keep your wrench. Durangos are the worst at it.

pb blaster and an air hammer will do the job with the water pump attachment I dont have it ofcourse but i have used them before and they work very good

Yes they do. We have a set at work. If you are keeping the truck I vote electric fans.
