Ok... So last night I picked the car up with the new trans.... I LOVE it.. Still have to fine tune the trans settings to get the shift points just right but it drives great and pulls HARD with those 3.29s. Here is a full list of parts that went into the trans.

New TEP Valve Body which include:
-Thorough cleaning and inspection
-Sonnax Boost Valve and Sleeve kit
-Sonnax TCC Apply valve
-Sonnax TCC Regulated apply valve
-Sonnax Forward boost valve
-Cleaned and tested pressure switch
manifold, replaced if found bad
-All 4 solenoids replaced with new including
-Pressure Control Solenoid
(Borg Warner for 97-02 models)
-TCC Solenoid, Borg Warner
-Shift Solenoids, OE Replacement

The Guts of the Trans include :

Master Kit with Borg Warner frictions
2 Oversized 2nd steel plates for improved clearance and shift feel
Side cover gasket
US made filter
Transgo SK4T65E shift kit
Sonnax TCC apply valve
Sonnax TCC relief valve
Sonnax Performance ratio boost valve kit
New Valve Body Spacer plate, modified per application
Bushing kit
Thrust Washer kit
New 4th clutch hub and shaft with heat treated splines
Stator support bearing
Input drum to sun gear bearing
Lube dam
Forward apply band, High Energy
2-1 Coast band, High Energy
Reconditioned Input clutch apply piston
Borg Warner Pressure Control solenoid
Borg Warner TCC solenoid
OE shift solenoids x 2

Then on top of all this I added:
300m Input Shaft
ZZP Pump Shaft
Single Chain 7/8" 3.29s
L36 Converter

I then had the Oil Pressure sensor replaced, and some exhaust work done.

All in all OUT THE DOOR it all cost me $1700 for everything. I think that was a more then fair price.

Ohh... BTW. While Andrew had the trans out, he came across an interesting find. He went to take the Flex plate off and noticed that the flex plate that was on there was an L36 flex plate that had been modded to match the L67. And he says the flex had never been taken off the motor... Now I know my car had a motor swap before I got it. Which leads us to believe there is a high chance that my car has a top swapped L36 in it.

I liked the 3.29 gearing with the top swap...I always thought the 2.93's were geared too much towards highway cruising. The 3.67's that the 5 speed has were basically overkill...the engine had tons of torque on top of gearing it for more torque...lots of wheelspin.

Oh no.. It will be going to the track.. Just running in every day trim. Nothing special at the track. I wanna know what the car does light to light...LOL
