it was one book, covered everything, from air brakes to straight jobs, class B and A to single and double trailers, then the last 1/2 was all hazmat.
if you needed hazmat, thats where i'd hit up a school, that test is not easy at all. i skimmed it, and i dont want one lol
so you take a written air brake test,(30 questions) then general knowledge test,(75 questions) then a month later you go for the road test. in cab pre trip, out side the truck pre trip, then you drive around the closed road coarse , right turns, and backing up to a dock. if you passed all that, now they take you out on the high way and local streets.
seen people pass it all, and then fail the real road test driving part. not checking mirrors or not coming to a full stop, cutting off oncoming traffic and so on, instant fail.
and to tell the truth, i'd need to re read the book to do a proper pre trip, ive had my lic for years, you drove it yesterday, so its got to be ok today. you know when somethings not feeling right.
