My Airbag Suspension Thread

Yeah id like to see if too but just not going to happen right now. The 3800 meet is coming up this weekend and I won't have enough time to do it right. It'll be done this summer for sure though

Well im throwing on some ball joints and tie rods ends today after work before the meet this weekend, and since I have the lifetime alignment through firestone I think I'll move up to the upper mounts now and then have them straighten everything back out.

My pontiac mud flaps will unusable assuming the upper mounts clear everything Soooo.. I'll have 2 sets of Pontiac mud flaps with only a few months of use if someone wants to buy them. Holes obviously pre drilled where they need to be. :)

I lovem just the car already sits too low in the back for them and after tonight the fronts will too.

"after tonight"

what're you doing (modifying) to make it go lower? [more overall knowledge then really asking for myself...]

Actually after actually doing one side for a test they will not fit without trimming the bottom of the bracket below the very bottom hole because it would rub ever so slightly on the rubber boot.. Enough that would cause damage

It's literally an 1/8" but without completely removing the strut that wasn't possible.

Also I didn't want to go that route mainly because I had no way of knowing if the bottom of the bag mount would hit the top of the tire without first doing the modification. So basically if it wasn't possible then I'd risk not being able to go back to the mounts that do work.

So after I wrote that last post I went out and again my over thinking got the best of me.. I keel forgetting the bottom of the bag mount doesn't move. I've got plenty of tire clearance with my 245/45/18s even with the upper mounts.

Tomorrow I'll rip it back apart and trim those brackets. The front fender will need some work as well but ill wait til I get to that point.

Done. I removed half an inch from the bottom of the bracket and it clears the boot easy.

It does a little but not like the back. I Wish it could but she can't go no lower lol.

I'll have a full shot after the meet tomorrow.
