Took some of the loose rust off today. Plan is to clean it best as possible then slap some POR15 on it to stop the spreading.
Loose rust removed.
heres the hole looking from the wheel well into the trunk, that piece is barely hanging there.

damn wow thats bad!! when i got my car i did some preventive stuff like took the plastic out of my wheel wells and checked for rust only had a few serfice rust spots sanded it sprayed with flat black rust-o-leim and sprayed everything down with that black rubber water proof spray for gutters coated everything let dry and put plasit back.

Well, not much of an update really. But I think I am going to cut and patch the rust spot. I can't bring myself to get rid of her, or continue to let it rot.
Going to fix the rust, bumpers repainted, as well as the hood and shaved deck lid with the 40th spoiler I have laying around. Plan is to get it solid body wise, then get some BMR suspension and finish the coilovers. Kind of excited, however, I do know better than to put a decent amount of money into a GP, oh well!
I also cleaned the bottom side of my hood today. Didn't realize how dirty it actually was...

Very nice before and after, I was also thinking of moving on, but I can't after all the work done to mine.

They're silver. I'm sure I'll fire up the oven and recoat them though.

Well, I went to the JY that supposedly had 4 straight pre-gen wheels. Got there, and they had one. Bummer.
On a side note, there was an LS1 firebird, snagged the calipers and brackets off of it for $15

Thanks Nate. The rockers are shot too, it'll be a big project, that's for sure!
Got the hood on last night.. Looks ok. Not too happy with the paint, but it'll do.
