Ok got cover off, good thing I bought a timing chain, and gears. .

I think it will work fine, most of the wiring has a coating on it from factory, so it doesn't ware out faster. - But we'll find out.

I wouldn't imagine paint would do any more damage than water would, and I've hosed mine down plenty of times. They are pretty solid built. If I had it off I would have un-bolted the covers off and painted them that way, but it works and much easier to do.

Can't wait to see this finished. Take lots of pics after it's done, if you get any oil leaks it won't be that clean for very long. So enjoy it while its clean and pretty and perfect. :th_thumbsup-wink:
