Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

My 2000 TransAm

Oh damn I always thought those rear ends came stock in some vehicles. I will just have to change gears every year then lmao.

I'm at 5k feet high remember? It doesn't make the same power up here as it does in lower altitudes. My guess about rwhp is based on the fact that it may run mid 13s up here if I'm lucky. As far as I understand these cars run around those times in stock form at lower altitude and they put around 290 - 300 rwhp.

I maybe completelly wrong its just a theory that I have.

No I'm not even sure that we have a dyno here. I've never been able to find one. All I can do for now is street tune it by myself.

Actually I just found and joined local fbody forums. I'm going to ask there if anyone knows of a dyno in this town.

Your power level isn't going to change based on altitude, it's going to be your 1/4 mile times that differ from those in different altitudes.

Boy do you not understand anything about cars.............

Corrected power might not differ much, but actual will sure as hell be different.

How dense the air is will vary the HP of the car I'm no expert but I don't think it will be as drastic as you think though lol

also if you in the largest city in the entire country there must be a dyno there

What I understand is that there are less oxygen particles per each cubic foot of air at this altitude. N/A engines suck in less oxygen particles because of this. So less oxygen particles means less fuel is needed to maintain the desired AFR. Less fuel burned means less horsepower. Less HP = higher 1/4 mile times. I guess I can say that this is true because the injector pulse width is less here than it is at sea level. I've measured it at both altitudes on the same car.

That's why I want my next car to be turbo, compressing air helps a lot with this condition.

A friend just dropped $4000 on this package for his Maro. Its a summer toy and people started catching up to him so he had to step up his game. You need some of their parts.

He's an idiot.

Not to thread jack, and not taking any offense. But why do you say this?

Its a well put together kit, while pricey yes, he wanted a full tubular suspension for the track. Needed to step up the front suspension from the original 01 SS factory suspension, and replace the steering gear and front rotors from the factory ones that were old and worn out. This was a full solution and I could be wrong, but thought they were a solid company for quality parts.
