My '05 V - Summer mode engaged

Re: My '05 V - headers and poly mounts galore

meh for the money the Camaro wheels cost vs. the money saved instead of wheel whoring could be put else where like under the hood!

Re: My '05 V - headers and poly mounts galore

Black roofs should be on all cars.
But what if the car is already black

Will the world just get eaten by a blackhole because it already black or will it have to break the boundaries of science and make a color blacker than black itself

Or is it I'm really tired and going crazy

Re: My '05 V - headers and poly mounts galore

I was going to use a vinyl wrap that made the roof look like glass. I forgot what it was called exactly.

Re: My '05 V - headers and poly mounts galore

i'm fully glad that i went gloss rather than matte. it keeps the car classy.

Re: My '05 V - headers and poly mounts galore

headers are still off at the coaters, so i don't have those yet.

i'll have to find some time to put the wideband in yet, too. i'm not entirely sure where i want to wire it in, but i know for sure i want to mount it in the ash tray so i can close it and make it disappear if i want to.

Re: My '05 V - headers and poly mounts galore

otherwise on top of that....i think that's all the parts that i've gotten so far? oh wait, i'm still waiting on the drive shaft. i haven't gotten that yet.

the only thing left that i wanted to do this year is to do the cradle bushings so that i can clean up any remnants of wheel hop that it has.

Re: My '05 V - headers and poly mounts galore

it's a single piece aluminum drive shaft from the drive shaft shop. i think it's something like 4" diameter, it's a big boy. it's should clear up any remaining driveline slop that i have from the carrier bearing in the middle of the stock 2 piece shaft having a rubber surround. you'd giggle if you got under this car and yanked the drive shaft around. it move A LOT.

critical speed on that one (where it vibrates itself apart) is something like 150mph, but considering the fastest i've ever been with it is just under 120mph i think i'm okay. i don't need to be going that fast.

Re: My '05 V - headers and poly mounts galore

it was another $600 for the carbon one. nope. i already paid like $750 for it.

i also forgot (which just shipped) i have a new master cylinder kit to install that has a nice rebuildable tilton unit that has the correct stroke for the CTS-V so i can actually shift through the gears without having to pound it through the gate every time. apparently the stock master cylinder simply doesn't have enough volume to completely disengage the clutch. stupid.
