My '05 V - Summer mode engaged

Re: My '05 V

i have a line out on what it's going to cost me for a set of 19" or 20" forgestar cf10.

if those aren't going to play out in my favor, then vossen are going to be even more expensive. and if that's the case then i may just end up with some 18x9 team dynamics and call it good. those i can get for something like $1250 on ebay and they are legitimate forged race wheels.

Re: My '05 V

Nice! How quick are those in the quarter? Too bad I live like a million miles away and can't race it against my bird.

Re: My '05 V

they do something like lower 13s bone stock. i don't really intend on making it much faster until i don't have to drive it everyday. it's pretty damn quick as is.

I agree, I'm also doing low 13's at this altitude and I don't feel like I want more from a daily driver. I also don't think I can put any more power to the ground with street tires.

my wheel guy said:
Info from Forgestar:
- cf10 in 19x9 +40mm (2) and 19x10 +42mm (2) in a 6x115 bolt pattern (CTSV Fitment), Gunmetal Finish $345 each
- cf10 in 20x9 +40mm (2) and 20x10 +42mm (2) in a 6x115 bolt pattern (CTSV Fitment), Gunmetal Finish $415 each 2-4 weeks to make; More accurate once order is placed.
- Shipping is $140 to shop.

so $1380 for a set of 19s and $1660 for a set of 20s. deal!

Re: My '05 V

thanks to you i was actually pretty comfortable flying down without having to worry about flying back home without buying a car. thanks again!

PS - i need to send you another $40. i promised $50, hah. sending you a PM.

Re: My '05 V

my extra set of headlights came in today. they look like they're in better condition than my headlights, except for some damage that happened during shipping. i was refunded partial payment for it, so i guess it evens out.

i'll admit, they weren't packaged super well. i would have packed them a million times better had i done it myself. they also came from california so they had a decently long trip. however, one of the projector lenses is chipped. i have no idea how that ends up happening, but it did.

the glare that is about the 2-3:00 position is not a glare, it's a fair sized chip.

therefore i'm going to have to use one of my lights that are on the car...or bite the bullet and replace the projector with a new one. there's potential for an upgrade here, but i'll have to look into it. off to the retrofit source i go.

Re: My '05 V

You can't restore the lights on the car? I do this all the time for people.

Sometimes all they need is 3M rubbing compound and a decent buffer.

Re: My '05 V

i wanted to crack them open and paint the insides, dave. the point was to have an extra set just in case.

but if i can upgrade projectors that might be cool, too.
