My 04 GP vs GTO!!

I dont know where everyone gets there information from but the gto's arent as heavy as everyone on here makes them out to be, they aren't like a buick roadmaster. In 2001 when the holden monaro was released the l67 was an option. Did this gto have an auto or 6spd? The auto gto's are a little slower
 


rather have ls1 v8 than a 3800 and most other cars IMO. And i wouldve thought the GTO's were around 3700 lbs.

ya it was defiantly a manual.. so i guess it was a 6-speed. it was a pretty nice goat.. he had a lot of visual mods but no perf. mods i guess( guess he was Drunkie of the goat world :th_thumbsup-wink:)

Yes they are. a c5 vette coupe weighs 3,100 so the gto is automatically the heaviest car on the planet. If you take out the useless crap the car comes with you could prolly drop 150 lbs by taking out the tow brace, fuel tank guard, and replacing the steel skid plate for an aluminum one.

04-06 all show the same curb weight. - 3725lbs
... I know it will vary a little with motor difference and trans but close enough for government work.

vs a 02 SS Camaro @ 3306lbs

or a LS2 Z06 @ 3212lbs

400-500lbs difference MAKES A DIFFERENCE

Don't forget taking a sh1t.

When on GPF, that's grounds for at least 30~ lbs.
 




Bolt on ls1 gto=at best low 13 quarter mile ship. Know a guy that has one. Gets spanked hard by 12 sec vehicles. Bolt on everything and plugs and a tune. Wanna line up with him someday opportunity hasn't arose yet.

Edit. His is a auto.
