Mustangs

I'm not bashing mustangs, I think they are great cars and have some really great exhaust tones, hell I almost got a 5 spd, actually I wish I did:) but I do love my gt. Anyways... Idk it's just that mustang owners usually get so worked up about the fact that they own a "fast" car that they act like **** heads and show off. They are just wayy to common in my area, everyone had them. I'd take a camaro or trans am over a mustang any day. Trans ams are rare and the ls1's **** on everything they race lol
 


the fox body mustangs are some of the ugliest cars ever made...........so sad...

I dont know about that. Michelle is beautiful. She is my neighbors 89' 5.0 GT. she is pushing well over 500hp. Raced M3, Z06's, Tegras, civis, RSXs, anything that people bring we line. Even my friend Chris' SRT-4 with 20k in the motor had no chance against her. She has a Vortec V1 supercharger running 10 pounds right now, with aluminum heads, MSD igniton, CAI, and all types of other secrets lol. I dont like to give away whats under her dress if you know what i mean. Once we put the 15lb boost pulley on and upgrade to the alcohol injection and the mini-tub, then there will be thunder on the streets. ( beside my buddy Lance's stationwagon with 900hp and 1200 once he hits the bottle. By law he is required to run a wheelie bar and parachute on his streetlegal car. THAT thing is B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!!)
 
I think MUSTGRATS SOUND LIKE ****!!!! 4.6l hahaha come on and they like to break alot cant hang like the ls1 or ls2 do with nitrous and all kinds of **** you can make an ls1 or ls2 hit 10's with well under 6k seen it done and a mustgrat you would have to put more to get into the 10's sounds like junk to me. :th_thumb-down:

Its the 5.0L 302 V8. She is pretty, but she could be faster. I want to go bottle but he wants the dang alcohol. She doesnt break at all, so I think you just roll with bunk stangs! She only has 10k in her and thats over like 6 years, and she can do dang near 10's. Pushing so much torque we had to stop racing her because it twisted the frame half an inch to the right, so im going to endo cage her and weld teh subframes together so that the torque is smashed to the road. Its a nice car, I just wouldnt drive one myself. as you can see, im more of a low profile kind of guy.
 
lol yeah well i dont roll with stangs.... I smoke them in the gtp.....But I was talking about the newer ones from 00 and up or the ones with out the 5.0l and all the 4.6 2 valve are a joke.

Yup yup. All show and no go. I always loved the GTPs so when the guy at AAMCO told me about these 3.1L supers, i was all over that s**t!! One GTP sat across the street from my house in a parking lot, the motor caught fire, and someone shot the hood open to do it. I was ready to drive over there and tow her home, but the security gaurd stopped me and made me leave before she was strapped to me :(

Well lets see, in my experience. my 4.6 ran like a ****ing champ, couldnt break, and trust me I tried. the motors dont break like you say... the only thing that is weak on a stang is the tranny. well now the trannies are better but back in the day with the old T5 and T45 (Ward Borner) were weak.

Umm, I have a guy I work with who has taken a 99 GT, swapped a lincoln Aviator 4 valve motor in it and is pushing over 450 to the wheels. ohh yeah thats all motor for less than 3k.... I rest my case have a good day!
 
We where talking about what comes in a mustgrat GT stock....a junky 4.6l 2v or 3v with sohc not no 32v dohc 4.6l that comes in svt mustgrats or lincoln's.. but still ****S WEAK!! LS2 puts out 400hp stock all MOTOR. That dohc 4.6l your co-worker has puts out 302hp stock... and yeah thats probally 3k on motor alone and not the go fast parts. its kinda sad an svt mustgrat makes 390hp stock out of a 4.6l 32v dohc SC engine when gm is making 350hp on there ls1 stock all motor and 400hp with ls2 and thats 50hp less than what your co-worker makes in his mustgrat.. put 3k in ls2 and you would be over 450hp easy.... and there pushrod..so whats that tell you about mustgrats?????? I rest my case have a good day!
 
I just wanted to say, that I personally don't do the mustang scene. But I have two buddies withmustangs... one of them spend two days detailing my car for my car show yesterday , free of charge. ALL for free. haha.

point of the post.... I'd go to hell if I bashed a mustang owner now. haha

honestly, id take an 03-04 cobra over an Ls car, unless it was a c6 z06 or zr1. Sry. The cobra is just full of win :)

Come to where I live and you'll change your mind and IMO thye are worse than Corvette owners here. No bullsh*t. Maybe it is different in your neck of the woods, so you must be lucky.

And so are GTP's. Reason I went with this platform and not the '02 GT I was able to buy was because everyone and their dog has a Mustang...tell me the ratio of modded mustangs vs. grand prix w-bodys and that'll tell you why I didn't want one. I'm not knocking the car dude, just mainly the drives...even here at the local dragstrip the only guys that you can talk to that own a Mustang are the guys that KNOW they have a fast car...not these bolt-ons SN95's that have trouble breaking out of 14's or have to spray to get a good time...because I'm just running a FWD V6 after all...my sh*t is weak compared to their's right? I mean, I had a middle aged guy in a Roush 427 with the Roush charger on it and one of those really tiny pulley's...I for sure thought those cars were fast and he came over and laughed at my 3.1" and said that thing must be pretty slow to have that big of a pulley on it...too bad that thing only ran a 13.8. Sure must be sad to spend 45 grand on a new "FAST" Mustang and get powned by a V6 4 door family sedan with FWD and 2 less cylinders. It's people like that I started this rant for...just crap like that...then when I tried to talk to him later on just to try and get him to say some ricer excuses he sat in his car wit hthe windows rolled up. It's stuff like that that gets to me...either put up or shut up...that's the golden rule of racing ;)
