mustang wheel offset

I'm looking at getting mustang wheels to slap on my car at some point, and despite my best searches of this site I can't find a definitive answer to one question: What is the minimum acceptable offset?

I know the ideal offset is the +38 or whatever on the 05-09 stang wheels. But would the + 30 offset from the 94-04 wheels work? Mind you, I'm looking at getting 17"x8" wheels with 245/45/17 rubber on them. And I only ask cause I can find the wheels with the +30 easier and cheaper. But would they work or would they rub?

And also, since I'm sure it matters, the most I'll lower the car is the vogtland spring level with KYB AGXs at some point. Won't go lower than that.

Any help would be great

17x8 +30mm should work with 245 series tires. you might have to roll your fenders. it really becomes a problem when people want to run 9" wide rims with low offsets.
