Mustang Gt

So driving home from work a slightly modified Mustang gt rides my tail and pulls beside me at a stop light, sounded nice. We both take off and i had him by a car length by the end, we only went to about 50mph (in the city). Def a last gen v8.
He must have sucked at driving or missed a shift because Im stock (01 GTP). Right? or does the 4.6 suck that much

'95-'98 4.6 GT's were high to mid 15 second turd box's.

'99-'04 new edge 4.6's...I had a buddy that could drive and it went 13's with small bolt on crap.

That ^ is key tho. I had a buddy that had a Saleen s541 or whatever it was in the 00-04 body style and couldn't break into the 13s to save his life. It was barely faster than my GTP with HIM behind the wheel. Driver mod makes all the difference.

So is my Gtp. Ill bet he was embarassed. Im going to enjoy building this and keeping the sleeper status.

^^ Greatest expression you can see as you pull away.

Eh they're pretty slow, low 14 sec cars for the 99-04. Verts are the worst.

I also raced a GT vert about 2-3 weeks ago in my top swapped SE (3.4/TOGs+ full 3" exhaust/1.9 rockers/42.5lb injectors/zzp tune). Anyways the guy thought he was hot sh!t staring at me cause of my loud exhaust. He spun as the light turned green, I rolled on and floored it at 30 (too early, spun the tires till 50) but still pulled almost 2 cars before 70mph. I wish I could've seen his face haha.

Lulz... My gas tank was pretty empty but I still think I should have lost. I guess I'll go to the track to see what kind of numbers I get before I start to mod.

These cars aren't that bad, just small displacement makes it hard to run n/a. This car ran in the 11's n/a as I recall after he did some more weight reduction. Driver mod for sure.

My buddy took a "modded" N/A 3.8 Stanger as a form of a payment.

I don't know what was all done outside of headers and CAI, but that thing ran. You could spin the tires well into third, and would boogey.
