MPD F1 hood help

I picked up an MPD F1 used from a member on another forum. The fiberglass is good. All you have to do is use the existing hood struts and bolts and you are done.

I got mine painted for $350 and that included any blending done to the fenders.

gotta know the right people. paint isn't that expensive if you know someone who does it under the table.

True...looks like I can get it done for aroud 400 from a shop I talked to today. Everyone i know has had perfect results there. I will give it a try

Before I forget, do you plan on installing hood pins? Been a few horror stories with people having their hoods come up and smashing the windshield and roof, not to mention what it turns your $500 hood into. Some get away fine, others not so much. Some people say it ruins the look.

I personally would run pins. Too much money to risk if something goes wrong. That $40 worth of pins could save you a lot in the long run. I don't trust the stock latch to keep it in place, steel reinforced area in the hood or not. Just my .02.
