Mounting WOT nitrous switch? Best place?

Hey guys I finally got my WOT switch in the mail. Its the NOS brand and comes with a little bracket. I was wondering if anyone here had one mounted and where they have it. I've seen other cars put them on the throttle body and other people put them on the pedal. Just looking for ideas. Thanks.

I put one in for cryO2 in a buddy’s Jetta years ago. I ended up having to put it on the floor so when the peddle was all the way down it engaged the switch. There was a nub that stuck up from the floor to bumper the peddle I guess and that’s what I attached it to.

You could put it on the throttle body some how so when the flap is all the way open it touches the switch

Thanks for the input man. I will have too look at that although last night I think I found a way to do it. I just had to jb weld a little piece of metal on to the switch to make it a little wider and it should work in the yb

I'm getting a 10lb bottle soon too. Not sure how to plumb it yet but I'll be using my perf shift button to fire the juice. I want to be able to control it manually without having to spend $$$ on a window switch setup

are you doing direct port in the lim or before the MAF?

My nitrous controller used a 0-5v signal wire on the tps sensor for a wot switch. I would probably wire it up like that again if I had to.

Well I have pretty much figured out the plumbing and can post pics when I get a new file hosting place. My plans are to run a 50-75 shot so with such a small shot I will be using a tb spacer with a single fogger. A direct port would be awesome but is kind of unnecessary with such a small shot and it also costs a crap ton of money. Also I'm sure you could wire the perf shift button to work but that button isn't a momentary switch so you would click it to turn on the nitrous and then have to click it again to turn it off which takes more time and I personally don't think its very safe. Lastly you can get a no name window switch for 60$ or find a name brand used on eBay cheap but I would highly recommend it even if you had to pay the 160$ of a brand new zex or nx window switch. The reason is because if you spray nitrous before 3k rpm you can cause engine damage and if you spray it right before the shift it could cause engine damage and is also harder on the transmission. Another great feature is skip shift so you can set it up not to activate the nitrous till second gear which unless you have slicks on is really nice for traction purposes. So basically a window switch just makes the whole process a lot safer and you can worry about driving the car rather then freaking out about the nitrous. With the setup you mentioned you would have to push the perf shift button every single gear after 3k rpm and push it again right before shift, then push it again right after shift and basically youd end up pushing the perf shift button 4-6 times in a quarter mile run which is just ridiculously complicated and leaves to much room for user error.

Yah good points^

I'll see what my funds look like after tax season ;)
Ya trust me its worth it, ive done a cr*p to of research and most people already know or think of nitrous as being extremely dangerous/likely to blow a motor and they are right. If you don't know what your doing or don't add any safety features to your setup like a window switch, fuel pressure safety switch, wideband etc. All it takes is for a little simple mistake and bye bye engine.

Ya been using it mostly on carb'd cars but we'll see. Nitrous doesn't scare me ;)
I'm a little nervous probably, because I watch too many YouTube videos of people blowing their sh*t up! Lol but I'm doing it as safe as possible.

Does anyone know where I can tap into the rpm/tach for my window switch? I saw a post that said there's a white wire behind the gauge cluster or I think a maroon wire on the icm harness. Can anyone verify this?
