Mounting component speaker tweaters question!

Hey guys I'm going to be installing a set of component speakers for the front door speakers and I'm just curious where people have mounted their aftermarket tweeters wether they drilled into the door panel or if they somehow found a way to make it fit in the stock location. My tweeters look pretty standard size and have a mounting diameter of 2" and mounting depth of 1". Thanks for all your help guys

I'd mount them in the stock location.

You want to try to angle them so they face you.

Ill take some pictures later but I gutted out as much of the stock tweeter location and there's just no way to mount them there and retain a stock look or just not look like butt. So I measured and drilled out the door panels as high up and as forward as possible. They look really good mounted there in my opinion and will still be a lot better then using coaxials

I used stock location. Just angled them a little better and used some epoxy to set them. Worked well for me.
