Mounting a crossover in the doors

While playing throwing some components i had laying around in my buick i realized that i can actually get low end out of the door speakers. While i have no desire to use them for bass, this means I can get a well rounded sound. With that in mind, i want to install some higher end components, like some focal performance series. I just have no idea where to mount the crossovers. is there any space inside the door that will work? for reference this has about the size crossover that i will be dealing with:

I know this isn’t really what you asked, but I’m not sure what kind of setup you already have. You might be better off getting an amp and using the low/high pass filters in the amp to do what you’re trying to do. The components will sound a lot better amped anyway than just using the head unit outputs. More power to the speakers is better clarity, but again I dunno what you already have set up.

But anyway, you might be able to find space in the doors above where the speakers mount, or inside where the window glass goes, but just make sure you check for clearance with the full range of glass motion.

Also depending on how long the leads are after the crossover, or if you wanna add wire you could probably mount the crossover under the dash and then run the wires through the weather tubing between the frame and door.

Also also, don’t forget that if you run that crossover on the door speakers to pull low end out of it, you might end up with a bunch of bass on the 5.5’s, a bunch of treble on the tweeters, but junk for midrange where most of the music lives.

There should be plenty of room in the doors of a Regal. I just strap them down with a long nylon wire tie to any convenient place where it won't interfere with the window going up and down or the door lock.
