motor swap idle queston. (VIDEO)

so guys i figured out what was wrong. i had a company program a gtp ecu for my car. but i had them doing it to my vin but this turned out that this deleted the supercharged files. i feel like a jack wagon. lol

what do you guys think ? a gt pcm running a gtp motor make it run like it was?

bill knows how to fix that. i was talking to him about it when i was considering doing a top swap to my '05 gt. he will tell you what you need someone to do to tune it right, it does have to do with the vins. i think you need to have someone delete the vin off the gtp PCM and have them put yours in it with a DHP tuner i believe. could be wrong though, bill will verify and correct me if i am wrong haha

i think so, but you will need to find somebody with the DHP tuner to delete the vin and put yours in for you. that company went out of business so it might be a tough find. i know bill has that tuner but you are in indiana so thats not much of an option haha. again i could be wrong and if i am bill will correct me when he sees this. but im am pretty sure i remembered what he told me correctly.

You bumped the thread..and here I am.

I forget what year. Basically though, take a GTP file and put your VIN on it. DHP can do this w/o worries. HPT won't allow it.

Sure you can. Right year GTP based on the year of your car.

Then if you go to emissions and they plug in...the vin fails you.

I don't have emission in Warsaw I think I'll go get a ecu for now and I'll send you my other one . I'll pm you when I get home from work
