ok so i just put a supercharged motor in my grand prix gt got everything put together today and started it up. it idles really iffy.

I just have the headers on the car as of right now. i also deleted the egr and i think the hvac is still off . but not sure if it was needed . please let me know if it needs to be on the car

i have codes but no reader with me and i dont want to drive it to the aouto parts because im waiting on top motor mounts. just curios to seee what you guys think . i checked all the vacum lines and with carb cleaner didnt notice any leaks. the idle slowly but steadily rises. opinions??

I also pulled maf sensor and had no idle change. also when i got to rev it up a little it tries to die on me... :th_angry-teeth:
Thanks in advance

i have another throttle body laying with all the sensors in it. ill just switch them and see how it works out for me

i know that one of the springs were bad in the throttle body i have . i switched the one that was broke out with another one from another throttle body of the same kind. i reset the springs i know they are where they are supposed to be .but the correct tension i don't know. i could just get the spring wrapped around just one time. maybe when the cars running all the vacuum is making that butterfly open because the springs don't have enough tension.?

Re: motor swap issue with more info. (VIDEO)

so my car will start up and die trying to idle. then it will shoot up to 2500 to 3500 hundred rpms. i tried unplugging the maf and the iac but it didnt change anything . i went through all my vacuum lines about twenty times now so im sure theres no leak . my gauge is reading about 15 to 20 of vacuum. so what could it be?

like stated above im running just headers i deleted the egr and evap. i also noticed that when i rev it revs fine and the boost does enagage when its in park. and that there is a little black smoke that comes out the pipes. and my plugs were really dark dry sought. not good since i have prolly five minutes of run time.

i really need help to get this car going again. i went through and put all new gaskets on the motor from top to bottom and even lapped the valves. my car was orignally the gt model and i though maybe the fuel pump wont work right with this setup? i know its long but i tried to be as descriptive as possible. any help would be greatly appreciated
.

tps in backwards?

if maf didnt change maybe its bad>?

maybe blower gasket not sealed>?

maybe egr block offs arent as gooda as thought to be and sucking in air?

did you bend the tab back on the pump speed relay ?

There is an idle screw on the TB.
Loosen it all the way and see if idle RPM goes down.
If it does then you're getting unmetered air into the engine.

Make sure the EGR isn't leaking.
Did you spray carb cleaner where the supercharger meets the LIM?
If you didn't use any RTV on the SC gasket; take it off and do this.

I'll help you out again as soon as you report back on trying what I suggested. So how about it... wanna help me, help you?

I didn't bend the tab back on the speed tab really .. What is this?

Also bill I looked at what you said the throttle body is completely closed I promise lol.

Also I know the get is sealed completely I did it from the side and from the inside of the minifold.

Supercharger gasket has no leaks I tested with carb cleaner and I did rtv it to the lim and the charger .

Lol my bad Rico it's hard to type on this iPhone . But what I was asking was is the tps sensor the part that has the connector on it . Is that supposed to be facing the inlet side of the throttle body where you would put your filter?

Yes i unplugged it and the idle and everything with the car acted the same. I even switched it out with one off my other throttle body
