Motor advice please

I got a 105k mile l26 out of a Buick for $350. And from everything I have found most of the sensors are exactly the same on the blocks from 95-08, only one I have found so far that is different is in 06 iirc they changed the knock sensor.

Vin 4 is supercharged L32
Vin 2 is normally aspirated L26

No difference 05 to 06 but NA is different than supercharged.

I just realized you said kilometer and 145000 km is only 90,000 miles. How the **** do you get a rod knock on that low of miles with a motor that should have had the aluminum LIM gaskets from the factory?

Sure you have a rod knock? Is the car modified or tuned?

I know that's what I told the dealer(very low mileage for the problems)....i'm the 2nd owner....not sure how it was treated from owner #1 but it was in excellent shape when i bought it. I maintained it well...changed oil every 5000kms and never abused it. No mods that i'm aware of. Funny thing to me is it seems to come and go...I picked it up today at the dealer the "knock" was there at idle...I drive home and none at idle there. I asked them what cylinder was knocking he told me he didn't know .....I said what do you mean you dont know...usually u can take the plug wire off 1 at a time and then back on. when the knock gets less or goes away thats usually the cylinder with the problem(then he just looked at me like i was an alien or something lol)....I beginning to think they charged me 132 dollars just to listen to it run.

Do your test and see if it stops. It might be something else...not that I have any idea what but it could be.

yeah i'm gonna try it tomorrow and see what happens....I figured they would hook up a oil pressure gauge and check a few things at least...to say the least i'm not too impressed with them
