The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
In some cases while using a smaller wastegate... you will have boost creap. spikes in boost pressure going past/below where you have boost set. this is caused by wastegate fluctuations. using a bigger wastegate will eliminate this, and is more preventative than anything. a 38mm wastegate is not going to hold boost pressure properly from a GT45R turbo..... I will take pics of the Tial 60mm next to an extra 38mm one I have had for a while.
when you invest that much money into a motor/setup.... you expect it to be around a while. this is just added insurance.
Wouldn't you want to find the correct size for your application though? Wouldn't a wastegate that is too big for the turbo application prevent the turbine and processor from functioning to full potential?
when it comes to wastegates.... over compensating for your application is a good thing. going too small could do more harm than good.
I understand your angle on things... A 55mm wastegate would be sufficent.. but I was unable to find one that I liked...so I decided to go bigger. safe than sorry.
