Most Ticketed Cars - Yahoo! Autos

8. Pontiac Grand Prix Sedan
Violations: 182%
Average Age: 40
% Male: 41%

Pontiac's sporty and inexpensive model attracts price-conscious, aggressive drivers, according to Quality Planning. “The Pontiac Grand Prix doesn't have the same street cred as some of the other cars on this list,” says Padgett, “but it has an attitude in its looks that probably has parallels in the people who buy them second and third-hand. Supercharged versions were available, too, so it's not out of the question to rocket up to 120 or 125 mph in one, if it's still in good shape after all these years.”

It really tickled me that the GP in the picture used is pink.

NOt more than the MUSTANG, oh come on!
I think some informaion was left out of thier calculations on determining "cars most ticketed".

yah, gp's are attention seekers with styling. local po-pos agree. especially since ive seen increased ammt of 16 yr old buying black gtp's and painting the grill and wheels red.

edit: solara... ya, i raced one, won by a bit and let off. dood decided to ricer fly by and got pulled over a mile later lmao.

I drives a silver one.

It blends in.

Unless the nose is pitched....

and the blower is whining..... :)

most ticketed means has the most number of tickets, they have "most likely to be ticketed" as they explain further on.

Why such conflicting information?

also "Mercedes-Benz CLK 63 AMG" is really rather specific.... however "Pontiac Grand Prix Sedan" is not...

Also suggests GP Coupe owners don't get ticketed nearly as much?

Jackpot....: https://www.qualityplanning.com/media/4183/101018 qpc vehicles violations press release.pdf

"the scion tc is today's ponycar"... lmao.

also, 7 of the 10 have more women getting tickets than men. why am i paying higher insurance again?

Why did they have to use my GP in the yahoo news?

I'm really surprised Mustangs are not on that list. I was going down the highway doing about 73 in a 65. And a 03ish Mustang Cobra came from an on ramp. We were pretty well side by side and a cop from the back came up and pulled the Stang over. Blacked out Stang over a blacked out GP.

Thats a no brainer but its the percentage of people that drive like idiots that matter :P most people who drive fast in those sportier cars like that have good fuzz busters so it helps. Or they are old and have the V6 slowstang

IMO that has to be wrong. If you figure the sales of those vehicles on average more sports cars would be listed. Across the country or the world, your telling me all the f-bodies, mustangs, and hundreds of thousands of civics didn't make the list ANYWHERE????? that is a joke.

Specifically the CLS-63 AMG made it but Civics didn't... even with all the ricers that get tickets the sheer numbers should trumph the CLS-63 AMG.
From what Ive read there are less than 1000 CLS 63 AMGs made per year, so IF its an "on average" for the number of cars produced, maybe, but straight numbers... this is bogus

This top 10 list is for cars that get ticketed. And I DO see a lot of these cars getting pulled over, with surprisingly few Mustangs showing up (In fact I can only think of one I've ever seen).

I did see the other threads about tickets and I confess to thinking of them when I posted this. I've seen 3 GP's pulled over since I moved to FL (3 months ago).

I don't agree. GP's fit in with the crowd. I've not had one cop even follow me in the 4.5 months I have owned my GP. I'd be followed at least once every few weeks in my Stealth.

Also, I would get comments on a weekly basis about my Stealth, even in the delapidated state it was in. I've never had one comment on the GP.

GP's are just another car that happen to have a high percentage of douchebag young drivers that get pulled over and make Yahoo news.

4 door gp's maybe. not 2 door.
