More vibrations

Well my car has been randomly making a vibration lately which is coming from the front of the car. Today it just got worse and more pronounced. It feels and sounds like a bad CV joint but the vibration happens both when I'm on the gas and off of it as well. Lately the front end of my car has been feeling kind loose so to speak also and every little bump in the road feels harsh too. Any idea what's going on?

inner OR outter Tie rod ends. those are most common... and will make your steering feel sloppy and loose.

the only other thing in the front suspension other than the tie rods, are ball joints...

Yeah mine is doing that too...anywhere after about 40-50 mph it starts shaking...steering is a bit more "numb" or "faint", kinda like I am low on fluid or just need a new pump, but there isn't any whining *shrug*

Going to do CV Shafts and Inner/Outer Tie Rods soon...

It's probably the c.v's. Mine are doing the same thing. It's pretty annoying. I will probably try to hold out until the spring to change them.

Cool thanks man. This stuff is definitely not gonna be fun to replace though, I don't have a garage :th_sick1:.

The outters are easy, the inners require you renting a tool from Advanced auto... or where ever you get your parts from..... they can be a bit of a pain doing in a driveway.. but once they are done.... rock solid steering!!!!!!

oh... you will need an alignment.... you can get it close.....

I had similar symptoms and it turned out my inner CV joint on the passenger side was all chewed up inside. Replaced both axles and it was smooth since.

That was after I had replaced both outer tie rods, both front rotors, and one wheel hub all without any change.

Ya I've had my CV joints go out on me several times before, but this is a constant vibration not just one that occurs when I'm on the throttle.

Huh didn't know a bad cv would do that off the throttle too. Well **** hopefully it's not one of the cv's because I just replaced both like not even a year ago. Hmm now that I think of it one of them was used though...
