• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

More mods done, pics!

I didn't think many would like the blue accents, but I do and I have already gotten MANY compliments! So that's all that matters to me. The air freshner, well just thought that was the best place, wouldn't have it in my mirror. LOL As far as the engine, turboed is what it is and I had it checked by a few different places. I guess the guy that owned it before did a bunch of mods that I didn't know about, that I can't tell by looking cuz its dirty under the hood. It needs some work but I'm not really all about the engine, I'm about appearance! I love the car, but when I bought it I didn't have much choice so I'm making the best of it. I hope to pay it off and do more with it as a hobby car eventually!

im pretty sure you just talked to one of the many jackass mechanics that know nothing about the huge diff between turbo/sc FI.......but pics may say otherwise....my money is on that its sc'd and some idiot told you it was turboed tho.

She drives a GT. So either it's top-swapped or it isn't. Only thing we can do is wait for pics.

I see people try and sell L67's all the time as "turboed" and to be honest, I don't think an L36 would take turboing too well.

:th_scratchhead:

Not sure what you don't get. L67 is supercharged, L36 is naturally aspirated. She has a GT, so as I said, unless it's top-swapped, it's an L36, which seems more unlikely that it's turbo'd because the top end of the L36 isn't as strong as that of an L67, that's why top-swapping requires more than just the supercharger.

you can turbo an l36 all you want, it just wont take a lot of boost without more parts...just like a top swap.

Which is why I said "well" in the first post and "unlikely" here. Sure it's possible, but who wants 3 psi boost on there car? =P

I really wanna see pics under the hood. I've talked to several people who don't know the difference between turbo'd and supercharged. If you want to know for sure what you have, post a pic and the people here can tell you with no room left for doubt.

All I wanted was thoughts and opinions on the decals! I really could care less what my engine is. It sucks when you make a post and everyone turns it into something its not. Very irretating!!!

that's exactly what everyone who questioned the decal is thinking.

^this.

you could solve any debate with an underhood shot.. simple and take 5 min.

great ideas, poor execution :th_thumbsup-wink:

Yeah, she's buried herself in this now, so the best way out of it would be to take a picture or two.

and its ok to be wrong, she may not know what the difference is between the two.. but as long as she doesn't find out, and she talks like she is turbod' and isnt, shes going to make herself look foolish.
