• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Monitoring IC temps

OOOH Dave, that setup is sweet!! Too rich for my blood at the moment though.

I will probably go with a variation of Lee's links. I like that setup. I would continue my theme of Carbon Fiber gauges though.

You can slip the ss probe under the hose into the coolant stream. Been using them for years. Just under $20 a pop, you'll need 2

Why do you need 2 by chance? For IN and OUT I assume? I'm thinking about giving one of these a try.

What kind of IC temps do you see? Does Engine bay heat affect it much if any?

I ordered 2 but am going with something else. Let me know if you want one... or two:th_winking:

Some parts came in today. Part review: the 28mm radiator hose adapter from the link I posted earlier is a very well made piece and fits the 1" clear hose ZZP supplies with their T fill kit. At first glance the gauge looks nice as well.

The $19 thermometers look decent enough especially for the price.

I know people have said that having an led to show the pump was getting current is not enough but until I get something better I think it is an improvement. I'd have to treat it like this: Led is out - crap no IC pump; Led is on - pump may or may not be turning always check the KR meter. Especially since my current problems have all had to do with power getting to the pump.
