Modified our Factory Taillights

My son and I decided to modify the taillight for now since buying new ones were out of the question. Being that these are our first try we can see where we can improve upon them if we need to make another set. Which we just might do for the fun of it.

not bad. if that angle on the inside was cut different id really like em. like you said first shot. im sure you'll be playing with them more.

some thing like the regal back up lights might look good too. the lines cut in. i masked mine off and then tinted the tails, then this is when the tape was pulled and it was all cleared.

stock bulbs light up behind me pretty good.

dont mind that bumper, its been repaired

2 coats of tint gives ya a light cherry cola type tinting.

thanks. from what ive seen 3 coats is blacked out. i was not looking to go that dark. whats nice about tint and clear coat is even if your tail lights are crappy looking and dull, they can be made to pop again.

Pretty nice. Technically you can take the taillights apart and insert LED strip in whichever style you like, either a perimeter or parallel lines and connect them to your parking light so it could be visible in the night time. Looks good. So you tinted your tail lights; how many coats did you apply?
