modding my gtp

if it is good running condition then sure. these cars run forever if you take care of them.

x2

I got my '99 gtp at 143k i was the second owner and the first owner was a middle age women and it was her baby soo it was taken care of. Now i got 158k on it and i put on some good mods and the engine is running just as strong as it rolled out of the factory in MI. The only thing thats not gonna last once you start putting on a few mods the tranny will start to go. And I'm not talking about just a cai that will kill it.

^my car's story is almost identical, Im the second owner on my 99', the middle aged accountant that owned it before me over maintained it, car is like new with almost 126k :). Ive been modding mine with nothing but good results.

Agree with all of the above. A good start would be cai/fwi, headers, dp, autolite 104 plugs, 180 t-stat, a good tune, and to help out your tranny, a shift kit. After that you'll be able to go to a 3.4 pulley. Just remember when doing this, find a good way to scan for kr. It is not your friend. Anything after the above, you'll need some tranny work.

shes in good condition my tranny is starting to slip goin from first to second and im going to need some minor suspension work other than that though shes perfect

oh and how about a pcm? how much work will i have to do to insure it runs properly and doesnt kill my tranny?
and thank you guys i really appreciate your help

and im also jealous of you guys lol i bought mine 70,000 miles on in withing a couple hundred i had to dump 2,000 into repairing it to stock and now im at 110,000 and my best option is replacing the whole motor FML right??? but thats ok im still gonna have enough money for a cam and maybe pacesetters so something good is gonna come out of this ... hopefully

With your tranny starting to slip, do you know when the last time it had a fluid and filter change? If not, it could be needing that. Start with the cheapest first, it could work wonders.

you know wat im an idiot i havent evan thought about that, haha and here i am thinking im going to have to rebuild the thing
yea ill do that ill check it tomorow if i have time
thanks again you guys have been alott of help
