Mod opinions?

Kind of a general question here but i just bought my 98 GTP a couple weeks ago, and it is bone stock.

-I would like to do some mods, but the car is my one and only daily driver so i dont want to compromise reliability.

-Im looking for opinions on some good mods that i could do to increase performance but not hurt the car, or kill gas mileage TO bad.

-include price, personal experience, performance gain, where to get, ETC ETC

i appreciate it very much, thank you

the farther you get into modding, if you have a good tune youll actually get better gas mileage.

but, research before you make any decisions. you can have a very reliable 3.4 setup with a 3" downpipe, powerlog (front header), intake, colder plugs, colder t-stat, and a tune. you can always take things apart and go at it with your die grinder as well. porting is free.

I use my 04 Impala everyday and drive it hard. I think it is safe to say that this is my DD. I dont have another car so I made sure that I went w/ mods that would be reliable. I am not mechanically inclined so I had a shop do most of major work. I havent had any problems w/ my car since these parts have been on. Car sounds and runs like normal also.

Mods are:
3.4 MPS $100
PCM $90
1.9 Rockers $200
90 lb springs and retainers $90
K&N CAI $250
Pacesetters $400
180 Tstat $10
104's $10
Aeroforce scan gauge $189

With all of these parts my gas mileage improved by 3-4 mpg. Before mods I use to get about 18 mpg. I got most of my parts from WBS. Intense has a few packages that would probably be the best bang for the buck if you want new. You can probably piece a lot of this stuff together by checking out the for sale section. Will most likely be cheaper going this route.

WARNING: modding is VERY addictive. It is really hard to stop!

Thanks Iron, I love the setup as is, should be better once I get my PCM from Overkill. The only thing left on my list is brakes. I have to stop the boat a little bit quicker. MvFootball1 I forgot to mention brakes. The faster you go eventually you will have to stop. I would also recommend brakes.

Alright thanks for the advice, what are some websites i can check out? and with that mod list, what kind of power increase can i expect? (100% stock GTP now)
