Mod 04 GT or trade in and get GTP

I was thinking of things to do eventually to my 04 GT, but i'm just wondering if it would all be worth it considering it just won't pull that much power unless its top swapped. So, from you more experienced car peeps, would it be worth it to put money into a GT or just get a GTP?
 


Depends on your goals and needs right now. If the car is a DD, and the GT has less mileage than the GTP, well stick with the GT.
 
how good are you with tools. what's your experience? that'll tell you right there. can you top swap? if not, go with the GTP.
 
Top swaps are almost a waste of time these days IMO, you can get an L32 for a little bit more than a top swap. Unless you're handy at the junk yard.
 
i'm not experienced. just starting to teach myself lol i'm still really dumb. but yeah i figured just get a gtp, i've heard horror stories with top swaps. what is the attraction toward the 97-03 models, just simpler to work with or something?
