Misfire in Cylinder 6

Porach

I have an 04 GTP and i have pace setter headers with 3 inch down pipe, 180 t stat, iridium plugs, and was running a 3.2 pulley when after racing once i hit second gear my engine start to misfire out of the cylinder 6. Im thinking my fuel injector went bad. Need some ideas before i buy a new injector.

Do you have all the supporting mods to run a 3.2? Does it miss constantly under normal driving conditions, or just sometimes?

Hearing this started after a race makes me worry about the possibility of internal damage (ie- piston).

this just happened today. i drove it home from were we raced and that was it. but ya i do have all supporting mods. i know it a fact that there is no internal damage. its just misfiring. i feel like its a fuel injector. so in the morning im going to switch the injector to see if the misfire moves. I no people that run small pulleys no problem with very little internal mods.
No knock at all

Check the plug yet? 04 gtp, is that a gen 5 or gen 3? 3.2 pulley is pretty small for gen 5 with just headers. Its pretty small for gen 3. What mods do you have? What thermostat?

I agree, mods aren't really supporting for a 3.2. But hey..let's diagnose it.

Being one cylinder it can be a plug, wire, coil. Those are where I'd start. If you haven't.. look at the wire. #6 is a long way from the coil and with headers..well burning a wire is possible.

Check for spark. I would pull the fuel pump fuse, pull the #6 plug, grab it with some rubber tipped pliers, and ground the electrode out somewhere metal in the engine bay (coil bracket or something). Have a friend crank the car and make sure it sparks, and that it's not extremely weak either.

it was the plug and the wire. i got that stuff fixed up. But i just posted something else i need help with! this is obnoxious. my s/c is knocking now

That's most likely from a bad coupler...sure it isn't a bottom end knock from the 3.2" on your GenV with headers?
