I have a 98GTP also and it looks and sounds like the head or intake gaskets
my advice would be to do a complete gasket job and take the heads to a good machine shop and have them do the valve seals and check the heads out
Replace all the seals put new plugs and wires on and maybe even a water pump
then you will be as good as new
