since i have bought the this gtp in late October i have been getting an between 13- 15 mpg city driving, i have minimal mods, and i don't have a heavy foot. Is there something that should be replaced that's causing this? 45 dollars a week driving only 130 miles is alot. thanks in advance
 


thats not good with all my mods and a mildly heavy foot im getting 16-17 city right now with a cam code

maybe time to change out the front o2 sensor fuel filter maybe swapping out plugs depending on how old they are maybe

bone stock 04 high 20's city driving 30+ on the freeway,normal driving. After chipping out 4 pistons mileage dropped off to 15ish.
 


almost 86,000 miles, i just had a high flow cat and resonator put in a month ago, and i know before i bought the car, the carfax said the exhuast system was checked several different times but still, i dont think it could be that? so you all recommend new spark plugs, new front 02 sensor?
 
Yup, plugs and the front O2 sensor are basically the only “tune up” stuff that needs to be regularly replaced on our engines. Each last about 100k, more or less. The only other item that could done is cleaning the MAF sensor.
 
well i know the MAF sensor has been replaced its not the original one, and the guy i bought it from said it was recently changed. so ill change the front 02 sensor and plugs, gonna be annoying rocking the engine forward for the rear plugs
 
Its not that bad
Im going to be lazy and buy the engine moving tool
its only 35 bucks at matco tools for students ya its lazy but id use it

Im actually ordering one when i get my next check i remember the first time i changed plugs i had my 1/2 drive rachet proping the engine forward not smart not safe but it worked
 


Mine's been doing the same thing for awhile now, finally threw a code for a bad cat the other day. I'd try that and the o2 sensor, and some injector cleaner.
 
yup thanks, just put the injector cleaner in about 2 weeks ago, and ordered the 02 sensor and plugs, really hoping its not something more serious....
