Mileage Failure

Probably a thread about this already but I'd be curious to see who can chime in with transmission mileage at failure..

Yeah I was just curious my CompG has 130k and is just fine, shifts seem slow but I just had the battery pulled for a week while the engine was pulled. Doesn't seem like a slip that's for sure.

But I had an 04 GTP that has 240k+ and is still being driven around with an original transmission.

Anyways I was just curious to hear mileage shout outs

It takes the computer a few miles to relearn proper shifting when you disconnect the battery that long.

Yeah..what he said!

I haven't failed one yet that wasn't abuse/power related and all those were too fresh to count.

Bonneville was a little slopped at 176K when I had it built up.
Regal had 186K when I pulled out it's trans based on a bad coil pack feeling like a slip at times.
Other cars..I've bought cars with 180K+ and driven..then sold.

Anyone else want to add? im curious. And how much less would a tranny last on a 3.4 setup driven relatively granny except for the occasional floorage.

headers, tune, cai, 3.4, rockers. that trans is still holding up at 130k

i had a bone stock GT also that lost forward band at 180k. had a rough life though

My trans failed twice.

Once with the previous owner, unsure about mileage.

Then again it failed on me at 145k. (But that was my fault, i flushed the trans. Dont do that, learn from my mistake).

My trans has 128k on it but Im not sure if iwant to mod it or not. Im trying to make this car last 4 or 5 years. My last car i had a year and a half and doing almost all city driving i put like 18k on it.
If you consider beating on it flooring it and what not, I dont do that often at all. Only every once in a while when someone wants to race. Even getting on the highway i usually never go wot. And other than that i drive city a lot so i often try to save mpg by coasting, or quickly getting up to speed and then cruising/coasting...

Had the car for about a year and a half and at 136,000 she started to slip. Got it rebuilt and at 155,651 shes doing great (thank goodness)
