• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Midlife crisis on a budget

Well that's good news....I.ve heard on here aftermarket mass airflow sensors aren't so good, better off with a junkyard one. And wheel sensor trouble could just be a wiring harness?

I just cleaned The MAF and that did the job. Im hoping its just the harness, ive never worked on that before.

This may be a stupid question but I searched and didn't find anything definitive. What would happen if I left the wheel sensor alone for a while?

Thanks! But doing the hub is a little more than I want to do. I'm glad I took it in today, she asked me if it was as is or if I could return it lol. So I knew it wasn't good. The tranny looks like it might be going, but they said it might just need a fluid and/or filter change as the fluid is burnt. That's my fault for not checking it. The other things are minor fixes.

I'm on your side, so good luck with that. I've been screwed twice by fine print. 1 warranty turnt out to be 50/50 on parts & labor. So I paid 1/2 of an overpriced water pump and 1/2 of their "labor". 2nd was an engine warranty. Blown rings. It covered "parts only" What a ripoff. I hope you read and understood your fine print.

Thanks and yes, a few times. The front page lists what is and what is not covered. Labor is covered up to $70 an hour and things like fluids are only covered under a mechanical issue. Most little things I can do anyway so I'm not gonna worry about brake pads and a pcv valve.

I bought my 01 gt last year with 127k on it with a very similar warrantee i paid something like 3600 with the warrantee. They rebuilt the transmission, front control arms all 4 struts within the first 6 months 800 well spent.

Definitely well spent lol. I've only had this a couple weeks though, I haven't even broke it in! But it's getting taken care of. The only other things it needs is a pcv valve and it'll need back brake pads soon. Easy, cheap fixes. Then off to cali in it.
