methanol injection !

okay i have a chance to do methanol injection on my car. what are peoples thoughts? it would be a whole snow methanol injection kit with tubes resivour and pump for a 100 Bucks. so what are peoples thoughts ? waste of time ? is it worth it ? im going to be pushing pace setter headers and CAI and exhaust and a 3.4 pulley so ? i know it would help lower intake temps but just talking to some other grandprix owners.

you should do a little searching around, it's a topic that comes up every couple months since the site started.

i'm one of the main contributors to that.

It seems to work well at eliminating small amounts of kr and dropping .1-.2" in pulley size when spraying through a TB spacer. Issues can arise when you try to push it harder than that.

it helps in small doses, but when you start spraying too much it ends up just causing more issues than good.

What is a "small dose" ? I use a 7gph nozzle and it has always kept kr to an absolute minimum on 93 octane, 18* advance and a 2.6 pulley.
For the op's setup i would say a 4 or 5gph nozzle would be the most he should run.
BUT if you are running a gen III, i would avoid the meth injection due to the fact that the water/meth will just destroy the ****ty coating on the blower rotors.

i ran a 5GPH nozzle and i didn't run enough timing to make good use of it so the car always felt boggy and slow.

did let me run smaller pulleys, though.
