Methanol Controller Vacuum Line

BadDecisions

I recently picked up an older Snow Performance water/meth kit that uses a VC-100 controller. There's a nipple on the controller to run to a vacuum source to turn on the controller (needs 5 psi). I was just wondering where you guys who are running meth have run that line to.

I've read of people using the brake booster as a source but I was wondering if I could use the nipple on the boost solenoid. Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys!

Thanks Scotty I really appreciate it man. One more question if you don't mind.

Where did you install your nozzle? I was thinking of going 6-8" ahead of the throttle body

the gen 5 i cant seem to find a close up pic. but the black line you see looping over the intake tube is the meth line, i drilled and tapped the blower in the flat area near the bbv and put it in there.

the gen 3 i used a zzp tb spacer, notched the side drilled and tapped. two inches to the left is where i drilled the case in the gen 5. the opening of the blower there is about as big of a area as you get. you want it to spray not puddle up. also when you drill and tap it, work the tap in and do test fits with the injector. its a npt tap aka tapered and you need the tip of the injector to be flush or just a bit past the inside wall so when it sprays the mist clears the tapped hole. if you tap it to deep its easy go to far and the injector will not get tight and just strip out. so little bit by little bit testing along the way is the safe way. when you run water through it to make sure the lines and tank are clean you can run the water through the injector via the pump and you'll see just how much it sprays and how it umbrellas off the jet. my aem injector did a 3 foot wide spray on the large jet. left a puddle on the ground lol
