Metal on metal grinding noise?

You can hear it in the car and it sounds to be coming from the passenger side. Only hear it at 40mph+ can definitely hear it on highway. Wheel bearing? '01 GT 120xxx miles
 


bearings typically make a growling noise.

do some long sweeping turns (lane change) left and then right....as the bearing loads and unloads the noise should get louder and quieter...unless the bearing is totally fubared, then it will make noise all the time.
