meet at bransonl2000's

Re: meet at brandonl2000's

yeah but its almso 11 hours thats such a far drive for 2 days especially if no one shows up

Still gotta get a new fuel buoy for our '98 gp gt so I know how much gas is actually in it but I might look into it. I can go and chill then and still be back in time for class at 8am

Haha I can still run a good fifty miles on fumes in that thing. We found that out one year. Barely made it to my fiancee's parents' farm to get gas.... it was scarey

Re: meet at brandonl2000's

I do not live in the "hood" anymore. I live in midtown, it's a nice area of town. My street, yeah it has some bad houses (like, some are boarded up) but they are renovating most of them on the street it'll be real nice soon.
My old neighborhood, yeah, even I hate going back there.

Re: meet at brandonl2000's

Aint driven here yet

Sorry Bill, I don't want my car to rust from all the ocean water.

Branson used to be the Annual GP meet, with a large turnout. I've been trying to get this going again for a while now, and I think it could be a great meet. They were very accomodating in the past. People have talked about making this event again, and to be honest, its time that it gets done. We could camp at the ozarks or rent a cabin or two if people wanted to avoid the whole hotel thing.

If you're not willing to drive to a car meet, there's a problem. I think taz has driven like 24 hours to go to a meet for 18 then drive home. lol I could understand if it was a financial thing, however. Spring is like 6 months away, so you have time to start saving now.

Re: meet at brandonl2000's

I completely agree and will be willing to attend and assist planning this event in any way needed:)

If I can come up with the funds on top of my car bill at the end of the school year i'm game my car should be completely done by the time my tax return comes in (what i'm paying for it with) and then the only thing I have to worry about is if the engine will hold up to the drive cuz I gotta wait a few years before I can work on getting the engine rebuilt.

Re: meet at brandonl2000's

Lulz, must be nice to enjoy tax returns. Mine are going to pay court costs for the tickets I got.

Lol yea this'll be the first one that hasn't gone to catching up on bills/the money hog that sleeps next to me every night *looks at fiancee and cowers* I think she's pretending she didn't just read that... i'm being glared at lol

In order to drive a boat (or rent any watercraft) in MO, you have to have a license. To get a license you can take an online course and pay $35.50 and its good forever. The course forces you to spend time doing it, like each page has a next button that you have to wait for to pop up. I'm compiling a doccument with all the info and whatnot incase anybody else wants to do it. You don't have to pay until you pass.

I think I'm about 4 hours into the course so far, and probably half way done. Fun stuff.

Re: meet at brandonl2000's

the only problem i have is that fall and spring are my busy times of the year im working 70 hours a week and i cant take off work really unless its an emergency or im like dying

Re: meet at brandonl2000's

What if its a GPF emergency?

I've been game for Spring/ Summer/ Fall meets, to get more people involved, but I think some people feel the need to go to all 3 and that complicates funding/ etc.
