This happend last Sat night when I was going how from work just minding my own business wasn't driving hard or anything and when I stopped at the light this kid pulls up next to me "misses the stop bar by like 3 feet..." and then he starts reving the thing and rolling back and forth I just thought to myself is he serious? anyway I paid no attention to it because even tho it was late and we were the only two cars there It was still on the edge of town, and I thought he was joking I really did but the light turned green and he got on it and I just said F-it and gave it all the beans and passed him in about 30 feet...at the next light I guess he wanted some more so I gave it to him and was braking at the last light by the time he made it through the intersection when that light turned green he was still behind me and i was just driving easy at this point and he decided he needed to take a right turn at 40mph to prove something I guess and I just went on home with a smile on my face for the rest of the drive
 


was it a mazdaspeed3 or just a base mazda 3? My friend has a base 3 and he swears he'll take me while he's stock lmao.Even though he admitted my cars fast.Good kill though
 
I think it was only a little 2.3 it looked like a nice car it was atleast and 08 but its probably slower than a average pickup truck
 
my bad.. i thought i read it was a speed3. nice kill, i love putting kids to shame cause they think theyre the ****
 


I just looked up a speed 3 and those things have some pretty nice numbers for a 4 cylinder Top end a gp would leave them but under 60 those things are probably crazy fast and there not bad on price

from a roll it would be close till maybe 70-80 then the turbo will have max power and he'll pull away.from a dig the mazda has it.
 


on the topic of mazda
my mom has a 2010 mazda 6 with the same motor as the mazda 3(non-turbo) and my car walks all over it...now her cars kinda fast but it has a low top end so i can pull away, about 80-90 it falls on its face, i dont like it i think its over-rated, just the 4 banger mazda 6's the ones with the v6's are alot nicer
 
I saw fox body Murc, black with lime green trim it was god awful, today with a decent sounding cam he pulled into traffic behind me but stayed. I dont know if the V8 badge on the trunk scared him but I want to run the GP against somebody
 
I just bought a speed3. When they were healthy, my GTPs would've been able to get enough out of the hole, that the speed3 wouldn't have been able to make up for it at the top. But that's a bone stock speed3. With a bump in boost and some tuning, the speed3s are pretty wicked. The straight line is not their strong point, they're more built for the twisties. After picking up the speed3, I pulled next to my wife in the 09 GXP. She thought I wanted to race, so she had the jump, and I wasn't able to catch up.
