Does it make a difference without the plastic that holds the stock speaker?

i didnt really notice any difference. i had to get rid of the plastic cuz the speakers were to big for it lol

Yeah I know I have done Rockford fosgate laying around,I was going to install them but couldn't figure it if they would sound better with that plastic on it since iirc ours are 5.25 or around there can't remember, and I'm to lazy to search them

yeah they are something smaller than 6.5 thats all i know haha.
