Matte Finish? or High Gloss Finish?

Hey guys, so I have a quick question for you.
I'm thinking about going a different color. I have an air-filtration system and a painting tent all setup and ready to go to paint my car. Engine bay, door jams, and everything. I was wondering what your guys' preference would be.

Matte Finish?

Or High Gloss?

High Gloss looks brilliant, makes the car it self stand out very nicely, but Matte hides dings a little better and is low maintenance. I know it's all a matter of my preference, but I'd like to get a little bit of an idea what would turn your guys' heads better. Thanks!

You gotta really know what you're doin to get the matte to look right. But if you do, it'd def be something different and potentially kick ass.

If you like your cars curves to stand out in the light i would go with the high gloss but the matte just looks good no matter what. I would do the matte since you dont ever see it.

well Matte isn't high maintenance if you know what you are doing. My Grandpa, male cousins, father, brother and I are all auto painters that have been doing it for a while lol, but that's enough about me. I was thinking Red Matte, you guys think that will look good? It'll be a month long project (or more) that I'll be posting about if I decide I want to change the color. Also, High gloss is only high maintenance because washing and waxing. You don't have to wax Matte. As long as I put a matte hardener on it it will look great and just like the Porsche Red.

red matte looks pinkish in sunlight. dirt shows up way easier on matte too, and anything oily messes up the matte effect. if this is your daily, id say NO to matte.

go glossy. i say paint it sepang bronze:

well it definitely is my daily driver. I don't driver it very far, and it's garaged if anything alongside my GTO. Maybe I can change my GTO from High Glass Black to Matte Black

btw even though I already knew that any oil will ruin my matte paint, thanks for that little insight. It'll be helpful to others down the road I'm sure since I certainly didn't mention it lol :)

I'd go with high gloss.

Another option if you're into a matte finish is a wrap. Much easier to maintain the matte paint.

It can be whatever u want it to be!

yeah boosting98 haha I was expecting that sort of reaction somewhere down the line. I couldn't agree more. I was more getting an opinion from everyone so that I can better make a decision :) Thanks though! I'm thinking High Gloss. It's more work in the long run to do matte anyways. I will need to keep it oil and dust free. I just don't think it will look good on the 94-03 models unless it's black, and who wants a bland black toy? mmmm not me really lol so I'm going High Gloss lol Thanks for the support guys!

I seen a kick ass matte charcoal Dodge Magnum with lime green accents. Even had green halo lights, seen it at a car show. I do like matte, but it is a pain in the dick to keep up. I'd love to do a '69 GTO in Matte Black.
