Mass air flow sensor ? 2002 gtp

:th_scratchhead: Does anyone know what's the correct mass airflow sensor that's suppose to be on a 2002 grand prix GTP 3800 series II L67 engine ?
I found out I was having an apparent MAF problem. My car would start up then run for awhile,as the temp gauge start to rise maybe about 5-10 min in, the car would just shut off. If you start the car right after that happens the car would start for only 3-5 seconds the RPM would jump to 1000 on the gauge and cut off immediatly, but no full start. The check engine light did not come on either. From tinkering around with the car for about a week, if you disconnect the MAF sensor the car would start normally and run ok, a little jittery because the sensor was unplugged but I got it to run for an 30-40 min without fail. I had friend who works at local shop scan the car with one of those big money scanners the real techs use $3-8k. The car had no codes prior to starting the car but would show a code when we started the car without the MAF sensor plugged in. Which the codes was low circuit in the sensor or something related to the sensor. When I removed the sensor what was printed on the sensor was (AFH50M-06). When started looking for a replacement part for my car exactly what kept coming up was (AFH50M-05). When I did a little research online it seem that (-06) number belongs in a Nissan vehicle :th_scratchhead:. If any has any clues let me know before I buy this $$$expensive part.

find a used maf at a junk yard, they run 40 ish used, or up to 200 new, stay away from after market maf's our cars dont seem to like them.

Hey thanks for the reply. I went one of my local junk dealers called Pull-A-Part and went to every car in there lot that carried that same style engine (Buicks, Oldmobiles, Impalas, etc) Every thing was stripped. If the engine wasn't missing then MAF sensor was or the top half of the engine was gone. I spent like 3 hours looking in every car came up with zero. Do you trust any parts from Ebay sellers or any other online sellers? It's my cheapest route for now untill go to some more junk yards out of my area. I hope to find one so I can get back to driving this car.

a lot of the listings are from junk yards or people who sell used parts, ask if theres a warranty on the maf before you buy one. junk yards would give you 60 days most of the time.

the one i got used is 3 years old in august of this year. best 40 bucks i ever spent.
