Making Your Subs Look Better

hey guys i was just wondering if there is any way of making your subs look better? like can you paint them or cover them with something? the reason i am asking is mine were given to me for free and one is blue and one is grey and it looks kinda bad so i want them to match. ill post a picture of them tomorrow or something because its dark out now (not that one is really needed)

The only sub box I ever built I used fiberglass and plywood. Then air brushed a Phoenix on the box. I might still have pictures of it somewhere....
If you a google search on it, you will gets a lot of ideas.

Dont paint your woofers. You'd be adding weight to the cone and it would change its response. If you dont want to see them, either fire them forward towards the front of the car or invert them in the box so you just see the magnet.

Yeah feel like a moron posting what I did, when I first read it I thought he was talking about the material on the boxes were different colors...not the speakers themselves. Doh!

Stop showing off your trunk and you'll never have to worry about people noticing that your subs match or giving them an excuse to break into your car. 100% free.

Why not stretch some pantyhose or something over the cone?

I showed off my subs one time at a car show and the next day I woke up to this.

But they were pretty stupid because they forgot the important part.

I don't show anybody my stuff any more.

Close the trunk. Problem solved.

I didn't open my hood for people to gawk, I simply left them bus lengths back in the rearview.

And..never flaunt stuff in bad neighborhoods.

gotcha gotcha. points taken. but it wasnt really for other people, more for myself. im very organized and perfectionist so if something doesnt look just right i try and change it lol

Completely understandable. I personally think your best bet is to acquire some full-faced dust caps that will cover the entire cones. Dave of fixmyspeaker.com and PSi should have some for sale that will suit your needs.
