• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Make your own Fuel Rails?

Just wondering... Who has made their own? Is it worth it... I've done some research, but want to hear it from those who have done it, good or bad?

Thanks for your input...

It's more than just looks
Its also about clearing the innercooler

I have made my own fuel rails in the past, not for 3800's, but for other F.I. projects, only becuase "off shelf" or "factory" rails were not available. Fuel rails may sound simple, unless you have a strong fabrication background, I would not recomend it, especially if they are available already for purchase. You are not going to save money making your own, if you build them properly.

Fabrication is not a problem, drill press and tapping, etc. no worries there.

I was more interested in knowing how much of a ***** it might be, leaks, finding the right parts, etc., problems and pitfalls that anyone had.

Interesting that I didn't even think of the heat (s/c) issue, lol...
Wonder if a fuel line I/C would offset some of the heated s/c air?
hehe...
