• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

While, yes, the seller had some major faults in that transaction, the buyer did NOT protect himself.

There was one time where a seller "disappeared" for a few weeks. I laid in out in not so nice terms that if I did not have the product purchased within a week that a paypal dispute would be filed and he would be reported to the sales mods and negative feedback left through the itrader system.

A day later I had the tracking number and 3 days later the product. It was simple, I protected myself with Paypal and the seller knew it. When people keep letting things go beyond the time allowed by Paypal to file a dispute then the buyer is an idiot and is just as much at fault, no matter what excuses the seller gives.

i bought gpos from a member on here once i lost contact with him he wasnt respsonding at all. after a month and a half filed a dispute and never responded to paypal and got my money back

people have a hard enough time with 10 simple and logical rules.

adding to that will only cause pandemonium.. and nick you know what happens with pandemonium?

zombies.... and we dont want that chit.

If the moderators decide they want pictures, the classified section should become its own separate entity entirely. I've seen this on other forums. Then with programming, things can be laid out in a form format.

If that's what is going to happen, every sale is going to have to have year, make, miles, photos etc.

Now to the reality of it... The cost and labor that would go into it isn't worth it. I've been on car forums for almost 10 years now and transactions listed without photos have been fine. If you have a question about a particular item, ask the seller for a photo. This isn't rocket science. Most of us who frequent the forum know and trust one another, and if a sale is brought up as not being legitimate, it gets addressed. This is why moderation is important, and if you don't like it I can make you a nice elaborate write up on how to log out of the forum.
